Overview

Job Summary:

 

Responsible for the overall identifying, researching, rectifying, and maintaining accurate balances regarding the collection of delinquent accounts. Responsible for taking appropriate action to deter delinquent accounts.

 

This person can be based out of our Syracuse or Gouverneur Offices.

Responsibilities

Job Duties:

  • Provide courteous and timely customer service for all internal and external customers
  • Identify delinquent accounts
  • Contact customers with delinquent accounts to resolve past due situations as needed
  • Responsible for the research, preparation, and communication of outstanding invoices, letters, or other documentation within a reasonable time frame
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed on an account to include letters, telephone conversations, charges payments, etc.
  • Perform research needed to determine customer eligibility for Kinney Courtesy Card
  • Process customer applications, establish customer accounts and maintain credit files
  • Reconcile and answer questions regarding customers’ accounts, as requested by stores and/or customers using A/S 400, McKesson or Helix pharmacy records and customer receipts
  • Recognize and rectify any errors made within an account
  • Assist in the preparation of accounts being referred to the attorneys for collection
  • Maintain a courteous demeanor at all times when dealing with our customers
  • Key and reconcile daily A/R checks
  • Balance POS charges/ROA’s to cash-ups
  • Perform month end balancing as needed
  • Generate & mail monthly A/R statements
  • Prepare and run reports for the Credit and Collections Department
  • Key monthly adjustments to customer accounts
  • Maintain all supplies necessary for the Kinney Courtesy Card
  • Order Kinney Courtesy Cards for customers
  • Monitor daily emergency charge print out, contacting stores for additional information when necessary
  • Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Minimum: Associate’s Degree
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree

Experience:

  • Preferred: General knowledge of Store Pharmacy & POS interaction and/or 2 or more years previous experience in related position

Special Conditions of Employment:

  • Criminal background check
  • Initial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring
  • Drug Testing
