Overview

Job Summary:

  • Assist in centralized billing of Medicaid and Medicare claims

*This position can be based in either our Gouverneur or Syracuse Offices*

Responsibilities

Job Duties:

  • Bill Medicaid (multiple states) and Medicare claims for payment, either electronically or by paper
  • Process the electronic 835 tape application for Medicaid and Medicare
  • Process all Manual Key secondary payments for individual State Medicaid’s
  • Work all Medicaid & Medicare denials and invalid reports to minimize open AR
  • Reconcile Medicare Statements, creation of accounts and check requests
  • Manual billing and payment application for secondary insurances
  • Create batches and apply credit card payments
  • Work Medicare Pre-Audits, Audits, and CERT audits
  • Manage daily Medicare paperwork for designated region
  • Answer customer phone calls, statement related questions
  • Interact with Kinney Employees (Store and Corporate) and various outside agencies
  • Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

 

Minimum: High School Diploma

Preferred: AS Degree or Higher in Business Administration or related field

 

Experience:

  • Preferred: 1 year Medicaid and Medicare billing
  • Preferred: General knowledge of Accounting, Third Party Processing and/or Pharmacy Store Operations.

 

Special Conditions of Employment:

  • Criminal background check
  • Initial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring
  • Drug Test
